South East Asia Broadcast date: Friday 13th March, 9pm, BBC Alba.       As they take a journey that crosses some of the most beautiful and remote areas of China and Vietnam, Anne Morrison (21) and Seòras Campbell (23) discover that sometimes the elements can, and do, beat you.   We travelled with: Part of a multi-national tour group our duo challenge themselves daily, pushing themselves to the limits of their endurance to see as much of this fascinating landscape as they can in their two-week trip. No showering or changing of clothes for four days due to plunging temperatures and the somewhat primitive plumbing are a constant reminder that they are a long way from home. The elements are a force to be reckoned with and icy roads prove a very real challenge as they attempt to reach the rice terraces of the Dragon's Backbone in China. From the mystical caverns and limestone pinnacles of Halong Bay in Vietnam to Victoria Peak in Hong Kong, our young team take an exciting route through north-east Vietnam and southern China in perhaps our most culturally and geographically diverse adventure.
